Notes for the
next pair of hands.

A handoff note gives the next caregiver a place to start. Keep it short enough to read together, with anything uncertain clearly marked.

Begin with the most recent care

Check the last feed, sleep session and diaper change. Use the times already recorded, and mention any care that hasn't made it into the log yet. Confirm which baby's records you're looking at when there is more than one profile.

Call out anything still happening

If a sleep or nursing timer is running, tell the next caregiver. Agree who will finish and save the entry. This avoids two people making separate records for the same activity.

Copy this as a starting point. Leave fields blank when they don't apply.

Read it together

A quick conversation gives both people a chance to spot a missing detail. Check that recent shared entries have synchronized before relying on the app record. Avoid putting passwords, door codes or other unrelated sensitive details in care notes.

Use the log for records, not assumptions

A previous feed time describes what happened. It doesn't by itself say when the next feed should happen. Follow your baby's care instructions and discuss care questions with the appropriate healthcare professional.

Share the little details.
