Tiny TallySwitching from Nara Baby
Nara Baby now charges to keep logging after a free trial. If you're thinking about switching, export your records first. Then compare a few things before you choose another app.
What changed
Nara Baby is still free to download. After a 7-day trial, it costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 for lifetime access to keep logging (US prices). One payment covers every caregiver you've invited. These details come from Nara's FAQ, checked September 2026. The FAQ also mentions occasional promotions, so check it for the latest details.
Take your data with you
Nara's FAQ says that after the trial, you can still view and export what you've logged. To export it:
- Open the Activity screen.
- Tap the avatar next to your child's name.
- Tap Export Data.
Nara saves your records as a CSV file. If you have more than one child, repeat these steps for each one. Keep the files somewhere you can find them later.
What to look for in a replacement
A few questions can help you choose:
- Sharing. If a partner helps with care, can you both add to one log? Does it work on both of your phones?
- What you log. Check that it covers what you track now, such as nursing, bottles, pumping, stored milk, diapers and sleep.
- How you pay. Some apps charge a subscription. Others charge once. Check whether one payment covers everyone who logs.
- Apple Watch. If you wear one, check whether the app has a Watch app.
Where Tiny Tally fits
Tiny Tally is an iPhone app with an Apple Watch app. You can log:
- Nursing, with a timer for the left and right side
- Bottles
- Pumping, with a milk stash for the fridge and freezer
- Diapers and sleep
You can share one log with one other caregiver. You both need an iPhone.
The milk stash keeps track of the milk you've stored, so you can see what's in the fridge and freezer.
Tiny Tally is free for 7 days. After that, you unlock it once for $5.99 to keep logging. There's no subscription. Each person unlocks it on their own iPhone, so sharing with one other caregiver means two unlocks. $5.99 is the US price; other countries vary.
What doesn't carry over
Tiny Tally doesn't import Nara's CSV file. Keep your export as a record of what you've logged so far, and start fresh in Tiny Tally. If you need to look something up later, you can open the CSV in a spreadsheet app such as Numbers.
